“Today, communities are heavily shifting, and information is easily retrievable at any place in the world. Under such societal framework, I’m glad to see in the realm of education an alert response by my colleagues at home (in Sofia) that is not solely directed at circulating knowledge. I see them develop their own paradigms of pedagogy, visibility and politics.”

“For me, it is in places like Sofia, Ljubljana, Rijeka and Athens that really interesting things are happening for art. There is an energy and experimentation afoot that takes in the seriousness of what it means to be on the edges of Europe today, but also allows itself to play with those most precious commodities of time and space in ways that only these places can afford to do right now.” Navine Dossos

Sofia Art Map on vijmag (Spring 2018)

Review by Krassimir Terziev on “The Blushing Valey”, a solo exhibition by Gery Georgieva at Swimming Pool for Kultura Magazine (Winter 2017)
“Each exhibition in this space adds its own reality to the traces of the apartment’s previous life. Each reshapes and appropriates it according to its “temporary tasks.” The experience is always personal and stirs different emotions, through which even the views from the terraces toward the otherwise indifferent Sofia appear transformed.”

“Glatt und schmerzsfrei geht anders“, Eugen Ei on States of Flux for Schirn MAG (Summer 2016)

“Contemporary art is located in a charming pre-war rooftop apartment with a mind-blowing 360-degree view of the city, and a real – albeit non-functioning – swimming pool. The latter serves as a “blue cube” to host artistic projects and performances twice a year. The first exhibition, Balconia, was curated by Swimming Pool founder Viktoria Draganova.”
